The next generation of flooring professionals is already putting craftsmanship into practice.
Keenan Lehenbauer of Local 237 created a parquet floor featuring a circle inset, highlighting the precision and attention to detail that go into the trade.
Third-year apprentices Riley Flowers of Local 270 and Amon Sandoval of Local 237 are also putting their skills to work with a custom hardwood design using maple, red oak, and cherry. After developing the design in class, they moved straight into the build. Next up: sanding and finishing.
